Ranua renewed its municipal brand in collaboration with Flatlight Creative House in the autumn of 2022. We were involved in the development of the brand strategy.
The work began in the summer of 2022 with a survey addressed to the residents of Ranua about the municipality’s brand, strengths, and perceptions. Based on the survey, we continued working with the municipal brand team. Through workshop sessions, the municipality’s unique features, position relative to competitors, and building blocks of the brand began to emerge.
The main message of Ranua’s new municipal brand became untamedness, which is evident in nature, people, and ideas in Ranua. The brand story highlights Ranua’s history, character, and vision, with the tone and storytelling naturally being untamed.
The stunning visual identity of Ranua municipality was designed by Toni Rantanen of Flatlight Creative House.
